A charming, family-run place hosted by Pascale, Aaliyah and Fabrice. We live here in Tamarin together with our three dogs. Our aim is simple: to make your stay as warm, relaxed, cosy and local as possible. We have five individual apartments and rooms, each with its own character. They are all different in style and feel, but each is designed to give you a comfortable and relaxed place to stay. From Tamarin, you are well placed to explore the west coast and discover many different sides of Mauritius. There are beautiful beaches, water activities, restaurants, nature parks and excursions within easy reach. And above all, we hope you will enjoy the warmth, diversity and relaxed way of life that make Mauritius special.

We offer five individual apartments and rooms for families, couples and solo travellers.
PENTHOUSE
With its 180-degree ocean view, the Penthouse is our most spacious apartment and accommodates up to 3 guests.
BELLEVUE
The name says it all: enjoy a beautiful ocean view from the balcony. The apartment accommodates up to 3 guests.
TROPIC
Situated on the ground floor, Tropic is surrounded by tropical greenery and gives you a relaxed feeling of being close to nature. It accommodates up to 3 guests.
FLAMBOYANT
Our cosy studio with an ocean view accommodates up to 2 adults. Its balcony is a lovely spot to enjoy the sunset.
SUNSET
Our double room is ideal for solo travellers or couples. Situated on the ground floor, it offers a beautiful ocean view.
Location
Located on the southern westcoast of the island of Mauritius we can be reached within an hour from the international Airport. As well less than an hour away is the city of Port Louis. Within 10 minutes by foot you can reach our local beach which is ideal for surfing.

We are passionate about everything we do. Besides welcoming people from all around the world, showing them all the great spots on the island, we also like to spoil our guests with additional services in our residence. Pamper yourself with a massage or mani/pedi.
Made in Mauritius
Aside from astonishing beaches, hiking tracks or cultural heritage sites, Mauritius is known for its great markets and shopping possibilities. You can be sure to find the perfect souvenir for friends and family around Tamarins many markets.
Local Projects
Since we took over the residence back in 2019 we are keen to make our guesthouse more ecofriendly and more sustainable. At the same time this gives us a chance to work with locals and give something back to our community. We are happy to tell you more about it during your visit or you can read about it on our blog.
Music Dinner
Did you know that you can rent our Penthouse and its fabulous 60m2 terrace for a personal event. With a magnificent 180 degrees view of the ocean you can book the Penthouse for a family lunch or a romantic dinner.
